In Perth, former Indian captain Virat Kohli has been photographed with his family in advance of the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). Kohli was previously photographed at Mumbai Airport on November 9 with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and daughter, Vamika.
The first Indian cricket player who reportedly landed in Australia before the BGT that began on November 22 was said to be Kohli. While teammates like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen practicing in the nets on that day, November 12, he did not come for the voluntary practice session.
That Kohli himself came to Perth pointed towards the fact that the Indian team is taking the series seriously as they set up for the BGT. India will be keen on starting well on the back of Kohli’s captaincy as well as experience.
Virat Kohli managed just 93 runs across six innings vs. New Zealand:
Recently, there has been the circulation of a post that features a photo of Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, and their daughter Vamika. The 36-year-old cricket player is seen in the picture enjoying himself with his family by the roadside in Perth.
This has mostly been based on analysis of Kohli’s performance on the field in the recent past. In his recent series, he could score only 93 runs in 6 innings, which is really a very poor show. Even if India lost the series 3-0, Kohli’s problems did not get any better.
People will be expecting the change from the batting icon Kohli as he sets himself for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kohli’s leadership and experience will prove crucial for India since the pitch is expected to be tough during the series against Australia.
Cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for what looks like an interesting confrontation between two cricket giants, where the first official Test is to begin on November 22 at the Western Australian ground of Perth Stadium. India will have to carry practice and prepare in the subsequent days in the event that they are to pull out the positive outcome within the first match regardless of these uncertainties.
