It has certainly been an encounter between the two skippers – KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Kohli dropped two sitters as Rahul brought the first century of IPL 2020 in the land of the deserts.
Meanwhile, Rahul and Mayank Agarwal were off to a steady start without taking too much risk. The measured risk was because of the collapse in the last match. But as the innings ticked the 10-over mark, Rahul put on the fifth gear mark hitting everything at his disposal.
Kohli drops two catches
During another emphatic knock, Virat Kohli gave a couple of respite to KL Rahul dropping two sitters in the 16th and 17th over respectively. It was unlikely of Kohli, who is one of the best fielders of the game at present.

Incidentally, Dube bowled a low full toss and Rahul crouches low to whip it over the rope. He didn’t get enough to clear the long boundary in Dubai. Meanwhile, Kohli moved to his right and overran a bit. He tried to adjust and take it over his head, but the ball just doesn’t stick.
Another incident took place in the very next ball. It was another slower ball on a fullish length as KL Rahul tried his best to manufacture power, but doesn’t manage to and skies it towards long-off. Kohli ran in and this was a much easier chance than the previous one. He wriggles his hand as to gesturing that the ball might have been wet due to dew.
The miss proved to be costly as KL Rahul made the most of the opportunity. He finished at an unbeaten 132 from 69 deliveries including seven sixes and 14 boundaries as Kings XI Punjab posted 206 runs in their 20 overs. This is also the highest ever score by a captain in the history of IPL.
