Players having lean patches are quite common nowadays and India opener KL Rahul is one of them. He has been going through a rough patch in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, and former India captain Virat Kohli took the charge of helping him out at a net session ahead of the Bangladesh fixture as well.
However, the 30-year-old could only manage scores of 9, 9, and 4, but he will hope to get back to his usual best when India plays against Bangladesh in Adelaide on October 2. And, he practised hard as well.
Meanwhile, during one such session, Virat Kohli was seen keenly observing his teammate’s batting technique alongside Rahul Dravid and the rest of the coaching staff as well.
Unhappy with his approach, Kohli advised Rahul to change his stance so that he could play the pull shots with more elevation. Rahul seemed to eagerly hear the advice before continuing his nets session as well.

Rahul Dravid throws weight behind KL Rahul
Team India head coach Rahul Dravid has backed struggling opener KL Rahul ahead of their all-important game against Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday, November 2.
Addressing reporters ahead of the game, Dravid said:
“No, not at all. I think he’s a fantastic player, and he’s got a proven track record. He’s done really well. I thought he’s been batting superbly. These things can happen in a T20 game sometimes. It’s not been that easy for top-order batsmen, this tournament has been pretty challenging.”
He added:
“I thought he was superb in the practice game against Australia with Mitchell Starc and Patrick Cummins. It was a pretty good attack, and I thought he batted superbly that day [for his 57 off 33]. So he’s actually playing really well. Just hoping it all clicks together over the next three or four games.”
KL Rahul has so far accumulated only 22 runs in three matches at an average of 7.33, with the highest score of nine.
