Watch – Virat Kohli Pulls Off An Outstanding Direct Hit To Get The Better Of Colin Munro

Team India recorded another super over win to go 4-0 up in the five-match series against New Zealand at the Sky Stadium in Wellington. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli starred in the tie-breaker to take the Men in Blues. However, it was the brilliant run-out for the India skipper which turned the tide in India’s favour.

Meanwhile, Kohli and Rahul heaped more super over agony on New Zealand who just can’t break the shackles. The duo fired India to their 14-run target with a ball to spare as Tim Southee failed to do the job yet again. The stand-in captain, who took the responsibility once more to protect a ‘young attack’, failed to execute his lengths properly under pressure.

KL Rahul smashed a gigantic six off the first ball, before pulling the second away for four. That was more than enough cushion for Kohli who displayed his batting smarts to complete the 14-run target with ease after 40 overs of actions failed to separate both the teams second time in a row.

Kohli was spot on

Meanwhile, India skipper Virat Kohli displayed an exceptional presence of mind to get the better of Colin Munro who was looking dangerous with the bat. This also brought India back in the game giving them some hope to seal another victory. It was a fantastic piece of relay teamwork here which finally brought the breakthrough for India.

Munro took on Shardul Thakur’s arm for a double. The fast bowler threw at the bowling end but luckily found Virat Kohli in line. The India skipper spotted Colin Munro jogging back on the second run because the throw was heading to the other end. Kohli fired a bullet throw and Munro suddenly realised he had to step on the gas but it was all too late. He scored a direct hit and the Kiwi batsman was back on his way to the pavilion.
