[WATCH]- Virat Kohli Spotted In The Nets Before The 3rd BGT 2024-25 Test But Without A Bat

Virat Kohli had a challenging outing in Adelaide during the second Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 Test. After a heavy loss in the pink-ball Test, the Indian team chose to stay back in Adelaide to focus on improving their ‘red-ball’ game.

Meanwhile, the Australian team has already arrived in Brisbane, the venue for the third BGT 2024-25 Test. During a training session on December 10, Kohli was seen bowling in the nets, which was unexpected as he was holding the ball instead of the bat.

Kohli, accompanied by pacers Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, and all-rounder Nitish Reddy, was seen bowling a few deliveries. Though Kohli has bowled in only 11 Test innings without claiming a wicket, he has five ODI and four T20I wickets to his name.

It is unclear who Kohli was bowling to in the nets, and given his struggles with batting in Adelaide, it’s uncertain why he was practicing his bowling. It is possible that this was merely a light warm-up drill.

Virat Kohli Faces Pressure to Deliver in Brisbane Following Adelaide Setback

Virat Kohli appeared to be in top form after scoring an unbeaten century in the first Test in Perth. Following that century, expectations were high as India entered the second Test in Adelaide.

However, Kohli struggled with the pink ball, failing to post a substantial score in both innings. He was dismissed for seven runs by Mitchell Starc in the first innings and for 11 runs by Scott Boland in the second innings.

With the series now level at 1-1, the upcoming Brisbane Test is crucial for both teams, especially India, who are vying for a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. And with the third BGT Test starting on Saturday (December 14), time is running out, and Kohli will face pressure to address his mistakes and find a way to score big runs.
