Will Jacks, an English cricketer currently playing for Pretoria Capitals in South Africa’s ongoing SA20 T20 Championship, smashed a six against Jofra Archer of MI Cape Town in a recently concluded league match, which was very similar to the famous shot India’s Virat Kohli played against Haris Rauf of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022.
Batting first, Jacks and Kusal Mendis got the Capitals off to a flying start at the Newlands stadium in Cape Town, scoring 88 runs in just seven overs. The 24-year-old batter stood tall like Virat against Archer to a back of a length with a horizontal bat and smashed it right over the pacer’s head, just like Kohli did in the T20 World Cup.

The Capitals opener hit fifty off 19 balls, smashing quality pacers like Jofra, Kagiso Rabada, and Sam Curran before being caught by Odean Smith, who scored 62 off 27 balls. His inning featured five fours and five sixes. Pretoria scored 182 for the loss of 8 wickets thanks to his innings, while Jofra Archer and Rashid Khan each took three wickets and Odean Smith took two for MI.
Wayne Parnell and Anrich Nortje each took three wickets for the Capitals, Adil Rashid took two, and Eathan Bosch and Will Jacks each took one.
This game saw MI Cape Town Captain, Rashid Khan become the second in the shortest format to pick up 500 wickets only behind West Indian veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo who has 612 wickets in this format.
