[WATCH] ‘Ye No Look Wale Shot Ki Training Leni Padegi’ – Suryakumar Yadav Playfully Exchanges Banter With Rashid Khan

After taking a brief break from on-field cricket to rejuvenate, numerous players have initiated their training regimen in preparation for significant upcoming tournaments, such as the Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023. Similarly, the renowned Afghan all-rounder Rashid Khan resumed intensive net practice on Sunday, August 20.

Worth noting, Afghanistan is set to face Pakistan in a forthcoming three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka. Rashid Khan is set to participate in a three-match ODI series against Pakistan as part of his preparations for the Asia Cup 2023. In line with this, Rashid Khan shared a video of his recent training session, revealing him in a batting role.

Intriguingly, during his net practice, he executed unconventional shots, demonstrating his batting skills by executing a ‘No Look’ shot. The Afghan cricketer himself uploaded the training video on his Instagram account.

“Spending my Sunday in my fav spot,”Khan posted on his Instagram account.

Upon seeing his post, Suryakumar Yadav, Team India’s vice-captain in T20 cricket renowned for his remarkable array of unconventional shots, responded playfully to the spin maestro’s extraordinary shot. Yadav mentioned that he would have to spend time with Rashid Khan to grasp this distinctive shot.

“Ye no look wale shot ki training leni padegi,” Suryakumar said to Khan.

Acknowledging Suryakumar’s response, Afghan all-rounder Rashid Khan playfully teased the Indian ‘Mr. 360’ by mentioning that Suryakumar is already a pro at a unique unorthodox stroke called the “Supla shot,” and yet he’s asking Rashid to teach him the ‘No Look’ shot.

Suryakumar Yadav maintained his T20I prowess but struggled to perform well in ODIs

Regarding Suryakumar Yadav’s performance on the field, he recently competed against the West Indies in a five-match T20I series on their home turf. Throughout the tour, the 32-year-old scored a total of 166 runs across five matches, achieving two half-centuries (83 and 61). Despite his efforts, Team India couldn’t secure victory, facing a 3-2 series defeat.

Furthermore, in the 50-over format, Suryakumar Yadav’s poor form persisted, managing to gather just 78 runs from the three ODIs he participated in for India. However, in terms of the outcome, this time the touring side managed to secure victory, winning the series with a scoreline of 2-1.
