Pakistan continued its domination in the format in 2021 winning 18 straight games to create a record of its own. The win in the first ODI was the 19th for Pakistan in T20I cricket this year. They are the team with the most T20I wins this year.

Mohammed Rizwan also continued his good form opening the batting for Pakistan. In this match, he found a partner in Haider Ali after Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck.

“The way we batted. The way Rizwan batted, and Haider, and the way we continued the momentum. The finish from Nawaz was outstanding. Spinners were getting good help. They put pressure on them. Will go back and see what combination we’ll have for tomorrow” Babar said after Pakistan’s win in the first T20I on Monday.

Both teams are playing the second T20I in Karachi on Tuesday. Pakistan has won the toss and opted to bat. The Windies need to win the match to keep the series alive.
