Rohit Sharma’s career as India’s test captain got off to a flying start, as India dominated Sri Lanka in a two-match test series. The Indian team won the test series 2-0 on Monday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif took to his social media account to congratulate Rohit Sharma and the Indian team. However, he was trolled heavily by the Twitterati for his comments. Kaif stated that this Indian team under Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid is turning into a ‘world-beating test unit’.

Mohammad Kaif wrote, “KL, Rohit, Vihari, Kohli, Iyer, Pant, Jadeja, Ash, Bumrah, Shami and many No.11 options … Suddenly, it all looks fine. Under Rohit and Dravid, a world beating Test unit is taking shape.”

Mohammad Kaif’s comment irked the fans, who were quick to point out Virat Kohli’s record as test captain. They posted that Kohli and Shastri deserve credit for building this team and taking it to greater heights in Test cricket.
