Born in England on 17th October 1994, Ben Duckett is an accomplished cricketer. He is a left-handed batter by trade and may take the role of wicketkeeper as well. In 2012 U-19 World Cup, Ben Duckett was among the players representing England’s U-19 team. The same year, he had his first appearance for Northamptonshire in Friends Life T20 2012.
He quickly found a place in Northamptonshire’s one-day and red-ball formats. Duckett burst onto the scene during the county season of 2015 after accumulating over 1000 runs that season with four centuries among them. The following season saw him score 1338 runs with two centuries and two double centuries respectively.
On this occasion, the selectors of the national team quickly opted for him as Benjamin Duckett made his debut in Test games against Bangladesh at the beginning of October 2016. Simultaneously, he had his first ODI match of the same year’s series.
In addition to that, left-handed batsman had the chance to play T20Is against Pakistan in May 2019. Duckett, however, failed to take advantaage of these chances and as a result he was dropped from the team later after failing several times one after another.
Finally, after playing at a domestic level for another couple of years; this left-handed southpaw returned again into England’s T20I and Test sides in 2022. Therefore, it should be noted that he will do everything possible so that this time around he would not miss any chance and tighten his grip onto playing at least some games with
