Janith Liyange (full name Kongala Liyange Janith Vimukhi), born on July 12, 1995, is a cricketer from Sri Lanka. He debuted internationally for the Sri Lankan cricket team in February 2022. Currently, he is participating in the Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka and recently made a significant contribution by scoring 95 runs off 127 balls.
He began his first-class career with a debut for Ragama Cricket Club during the 2017-18 Super Four Provincial Tournament. In March 2018, he was selected for the Galle squad in the same tournament. He made his ODI debut on January 6, 2024, against Zimbabwe, and his T20I debut on February 20, 2022.
In ODI cricket, his record includes playing 2 matches and accumulating 119 runs, with a highest score of 95. In T20 internationals, he has played 3 matches and scored a total of 28 runs.

Domestic Career
He made his first-class debut for Ragama Cricket Club in the 2014–15 Premier Trophy on January 16, 2015. In March 2018, he was included in the Galle squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament.
The following month, he was also named to the Galle squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament. In November 2021, he was drafted to play for the Dambulla Giants in the 2021 Lanka Premier League and was recognized as the emerging player of the tournament. In 2024, Liyanage was selected to play for the Galle Marvels.
International Career
In January 2022, he was included in Sri Lanka’s T20I squad for their series against Australia and made his T20I debut on February 20, 2022, against Australia. He made his ODI debut during the 2024 Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka, scoring 95 runs in the second ODI and earning the Player of the Match award for his performance.
Sri Lanka won the series 2–0, and Liyanage was named Player of the Series. In March 2024, he was selected for Sri Lanka’s ODI squad for a series against Bangladesh, where he scored 67 runs off 69 balls in the first ODI and achieved his maiden ODI century in the third ODI. In May 2024, he was named as a reserve player in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
