The Indian Premier League has significantly impacted Nitish Kumar Reddy. Sports Snipper reports that his net worth is expected to be between 1 and 5 crores INR in 2024, earned through cricket earnings along with advertising and sponsorship deals.

Early Life

Born in Vishakhapatnam, India on May 26, 2003, Nitish Kumar Reddy is the son of Mutyala Reddy who used to work for Hindustan Zinc. At the age of 5 he started playing cricket and would often go to Hindustan Zinc grounds to watch the more experienced players. Instead of quitting when he got transferred to Udaipur, Nitish’s father helped him pursue cricket full time by resigning from his job.

During his early days as a cricketer,Nitish attended VDCA camps, where Watekar, Kumara Swamy and Krishna Rao were his first coaches. In spite of all the critics in their family towards this game,Nitish acknowledged that his father had faith on him no matter what.

Domestic Career

Nitish displayed great prowess through his extraordinary displays on local grounds. His Andhra first-class match was hosted during 2019-20 season of Ranji Trophy which was a platform where he proved beyond doubts what he could do as far as cricket is concerned.

After that initial exposure, he went ahead with further success in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20) and Vijay Hazare Trophy (List A) for the year 2021. It was performances like these which put him firmly among the team members representing Andra Pradesh while at the same time, catching the sight of IPL scouts from afar away.

IPL Career

In first class matches, his seam bowling was increasingly effective and he took new ball for Andhra. Moreover, his all-rounder skills also attracted Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. They acquired him for INR 20 lakhs before the 2023 IPL season but he did not bat during his debut season and bowled five wicketless overs in two matches.

Nevertheless, his performance made vital contributions to SRH’s success in the playoffs during the 2024 Indian Premier League. His 64 against Punjab kings and an unbeaten 76 against Delhi capitals gave SRH a narrow victory of two runs.
