Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was born on November 6, 1996 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His slow left-arm orthodox bowling and right-hand bat makes him among the upcoming talents in India’s domestic cricket. He is twenty-six years old and yet to make his debut for India; however, he has shown a lot of promise with regards to wicket taking abilities having been born in Tamil Nadu. Sai Kishore made his List A debut for Tamil Nadu during the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The year 2017-18 saw Sai Kishore play his first season of Ranji Trophy matches at the age of 26. He also launched his Zonal T20 League at that same year. During the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season, he managed to take the highest number of wickets, totaling to 22. He was snatched up by Chennai Super Kings during IPL auctions held in 2020 and Gujarat Titans later acquired him for INR 3 crore in 2023.
In January 2022, he was one of the standby players for T20I home series against West Indies. In five IPL matches so far, Sai Kishore has taken 6 wickets. So far, he has played thirty first-class matches and taken a total of one hundred and thirteen wickets with best bowling statistics at seven wickets for seventy runs.
In his first-class career so far, he has gotten five hundred and eight runs including one half century. 46 List A games saw Sai Kishore getting 73 scalps at best figures of 5/26. Domestic Career
He started his List A cricket journey with Tamil Nadu taking part in Vijay Hazare Trophy season of 2016-2017, on March 12th 2017. His first-class career took flight when he made his debut for Tamil Nadu during the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 14th 2017.
Later, he played in Tamil Nadu’s inaugural Twenty20 match as part of 2017–18 Zonal T20 League which happened on January 8th 2018. During 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, he emerged to be top wicket-taker for Tamil Nadu claiming 22 scalps across six matches.
International Career
In June 2021, he was among five offered to operate stumpers when India visited Sri Lanka. Because someone in the Indian squad had tested positive for COVID-19, Kishore found himself drafted into the squads of both last Twenty20 Internationals of this tour by absence.
In January 2022, he was appointed as one of the two standby players in India’s T20I squad for their series against the West Indies. He is part of the Indian team that is set to participate in this year’s (2022) Asian Games which will be held at Hangzhou, China.
