As regards cricketing legends, New Zealand has produced quite a number of them. One of them is Brendon McCullum (popularly known as Baz). He was born on 27 September, 1981 in Dunedin and emerged as a force to reckon with in the world of cricket. McCullum started off as a wicketkeeper-batsman but soon became one of the key players for New Zealand.
His approach to playing always screamed ‘aggressive’. McCullum was an explosive right-handed batsman who could also bowl medium pace at times. Additionally, he made a name for himself as one of the best fielders in the game by virtue of his incredible speed over short distances and his ability to change direction quickly without losing balance or control over body movements.
February 20, 2016 is a significant date for all cricket fans. It was then that McCullum became immortalized by hitting 54 balls to score his last Test century while playing against Australia at Christchurch. The fastest Test century holder ever was thus born on this day. In addition to being the first New Zealander to hit a Test triple century.
Who is Brendon McCullum’s Wife?
Ellissa McCullum, formerly Ellissa Arthur, is married to Brendon McCullum, a former New Zealand cricketer. In addition to being the wife of one of greats in cricket history, Ellissa McCullum has had a successful career and has been able to stand on her own two feet.
Ellissa Brendon’s Early Life and Education
After finishing her education, Ellissa began working in health and fitness. She trained as a personal trainer and worked with various clients to help them go through their fitness goals and promote healthy living among them. A respected professional in her industry, Ellissa was much looked up to because of her dedication to health and fitness as well as her great ambition to make other people live well.
They met for the first time at school where they have been friends since then but their friendship later turned into romantic relationship, Brendon McCullum being the main character. They got married in 2003 and till now she has been supporting him in cricket.
Even though she has got a job she believes that the family is more important than anything else, her husband’s career nevertheless comes first before anything else including fatherhood or motherhood thingy-majiggy situations. Dad always cheers on him from the grandstand, while mum works out at home getting ready for when it’s her turn again within an arena called life.
Apart from being such a supporter of his career over the years, Ellissa is also an involved mother of their three children. She takes care of them well while nurturing any talents or dreams they have. As well as this, Ellissa and Brendon make sure that family comes first at all times; they also find ways to balance both public life with personal ones.
