Jacob Bethell, a 20-year-old cricketer from Barbados, earned his first England place for the upcoming T20 and One-Day Internationals against Australia in September. The left-handed batsman and spin bowler impressed selectors during the Vitality Blast by getting 356 runs for Birmingham Bears.

His incredible record includes scoring a fast fifty in just 15 balls against Northamptonshire. Hence he was selected for three-match T20 series as well as five ODIs.

Bethell was picked out of these cricketers as an England U-19 player who contested Australia on January 2023 as being bought by Welsh Fire for The Hundred’s 2022 season. On July 2023, Birmingham Phoenix signed him up into The Hundred.
