Samit Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, has been included for the first time in Indian under 19 side to play a multi formats series against Australia. Although Samit has not had the best start in life, he is now playing for Mysore Warriors at Bengaluru’s KSCA Maharaja T20 tournament. He has scored 82 from seven innings, including his highest score of 33 without bowling even once.

However he has failed to create any impact when he bowls. Notwithstanding this fact, he would still want to be remembered in junior international circles and is very excited about his selection into India u-19.

In the journey of becoming a pace bowling all-rounder like his father,Samit will have an opportunity of developing his talent and keeping alive what is described as one of the greatest legacies in Indian cricket history by many people including Ian Chappell himself.

Samit Dravid Career:

For the upcoming series against Australia, Samit Dravid, the renowned cricketer Rahul Dravid’s son, has received his first call-up to the India U-19 team. Samit scored 362 runs in eight games, including a noteworthy 98 against Jammu and Kashmir, earlier this year, helping Karnataka capture their first Cooch Behar Trophy title.

With the ball, Samit Dravid was equally impressive, taking 16 wickets in eight games, including two against Mumbai in the final. This accomplishment coincides with his father, Rahul Dravid, taking a well-earned vacation after coaching India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Rahul, who was never a player at the World Cup, came very close to winning it in 2003 when India placed second in South Africa. Samit now has the chance to carve himself a unique career in cricket, and his selection for the India U-19 team is a thrilling turning point.
