The England men’s cricket Team, Team India, and thousands of spectators at the Lord television Cricket Ground in London are sporting red to support the annual #RedForRuth campaign by The Ruth Strauss Foundation, managed by The Ruth Strauss Foundation. This program, which is in its seventh year, is geared towards donating funds and building awareness of families affected by the terminal situation of a parent.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation was established in honor of Ruth Strauss, who was the late wife of former England captain Sir Andrew Strauss. The Foundation has supported more than 3,500 family members who have gone through a loss over the last six years and trained more than 1,000 cancer care professionals to deal with bereavement. The effects of the work done by the Foundation have been manifold and very personal.

England United in Support

The third Test Day 2 will be a Red Day as players, staff, broadcasters, and spectators are all wearing red outfits and accessories and turning Lord into Red. The people are encouraged to come early and take part in a special opening of the games, and volunteers will be selling bucket hats of #RedforRuth as well as handing out Ruth roses in exchange of a donation.

Profits made on the day will support the important work of The Ruth Strauss Foundation, enabling the charity to support families during the most difficult times in their lives. The mission of the Foundation is to support and treat families that have terminal illnesses, and the #RedForRuth campaign is a serious attempt in this direction.

The England team will be resuming with an overnight score of 251/4, with Joe Root needing one run to hit his 37th Test century. He will be supported by skipper Ben Stokes, who has been found worthy to carry on despite issues with his groin late on Thursday. The #RedForRuth campaign is the evidence of how potent cricket is in uniting people around a worthy purpose.
