Northern Superchargers captain Any Shurbsole won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Grace Bollinger dismissed Smriti Mandhana off the second delivery of the match. Kate Cross got rid of Maia Boucher off the 9th ball to leave Southern Brave in trouble.

Daniel Wyatt showed intent right from the word go putting pressure on Superchargers bowlers. She completed her fifty in quick time and was run out by Kate Cross for a well-made 59. Wyatt and Adams added 87 runs for the 3rd wicket. Freya Kemp came to the crease and scored a quickfire 31 off 17 deliveries to help Southern Brave side post 139 for 6 in 100 deliveries. Kate Cross was the pick with 3 wickets from 20 deliveries giving away 21 runs.

Chasing 140 runs to win, Northern Superchargers got off to the worst possible start as Marie Kelly was dismissed off the very first delivery by Lauren Bell. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and did not allow Superchargers batters to score runs easily. Southern Brave registered a comprehensive 34-run win and won the 2023 Hundred Women’s title.

Jemimah Rodrigues opened the innings and top scorer with 24 off 14 deliveries. For Southern Brave, Laruen Bell and Kalea More took 3 wickets each while Chole Tyron took 2, and Any Shurbsole 1 wicket.
