The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the fourth day of the ICC World Test Championship final has been called off once again due to inclement weather at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton.
After a complete washout on the fast day of the illustrious encounter between India and New Zealand, the fourth day’s play was also completely abandoned without a ball being bowled. On the other hand, the second and third day of the WTC final saw 64.4 overs and 76.3 overs being bowled.
The BCCI took to their official Twitter handle to convey the unfortunate news with the fans. They also thanked the fans for turning up in huge numbers to keep up the momentum.
“Update: Play on Day 4 abandoned due to rain. We thank our fans who turned up and kept the tempo high. See you again, tomorrow,” BCCI wrote on Twitter.

ICC reduces ticket prices of reserve day of WTC final
The International Cricket Council has decided to reduce the ticket prices for the reserve day of the WTC final at the Rose Bowl. A report in PTI quoted an ICC official saying:
“Yes, the prices of the tickets for the sixth day will be reduced. It’s a standard practice for Test matches played in United Kingdom. Since the Test match is only open to UK residents, ICC is following the same guidelines.”
For the summit clash, the tickets are priced at three slabs — GBP 150 (INR 15,444), GBP 100 (INR 10,296), and GBP 75 (INR 7722). The reduced price rates will be GBP 100 (INR 10,296), GBP 75 (INR 7722), and GBP 50 (INR 5148).
