The Covid-19 situation in the United Kingdom has largely been under control, which has allowed the crowd to witness the match from the stadium. Close to 4000 spectators were in attendance on Day 3 of the World Test Championship Finals. The stadium was lit and buzzing as the crowd was singing songs throughout the day’s play to lift up the morale of their team.

India face a batting Collapse

After the fall of Virat Kohli’s wicket in the morning, the Indian team got bundled out quickly, with Ajinkya Rahane leading the scoring chart. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with some runs before the kiwi pacer Kyle Jamieson picked up his fifth wicket to end Indian innings at 217 runs.

New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway stitched a 70-run partnership together before the former was caught by Virat Kohli off R Ashwin’s bowling. Soon after, Conway was sent back to the hut by Ishant Sharma. New Zealand ended the day at 41/2 with Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor not out overnight. The match still hangs in balance as Day 4 and 5 promise to be exciting for the cricket fans.
