‘Yaari No 1’ -Paramjit Singh, The Owner Of Prime Sports, Responds To MS Dhoni’s Heartfelt Gesture

MS Dhoni is helping his old friend Paramjit Singh by advertising his shop before IPL 2024. MS Dhoni, a former India captain, serves as an inspiration for numerous aspiring cricketers from small towns. As he approaches the end of his career, the 42-year-old expresses gratitude to his loved ones.

Recently, he was seen using a bat adorned with a sticker from his old friend Paramjit Singh’s shop, ‘Prime Sports’. Notably, Paramjit Singh played a role in securing sponsorship for Dhoni early in his career.

In return, Dhoni is promoting his friend’s shop by featuring the sticker on his bat during practice sessions before IPL 2024. Paramjit responded, expressing Dhoni’s consistent support.

“I am feeling very proud of him. He has always been there for us. And this is our friendship. Friendship No. 1,” Paramjit Singh was quoted as saying by Aaj Tak. He also revealed that Dhoni gifted him an autographed bat, which carried the message: “Best wishes, Chhotu Bhaiya.”

Renowned Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist also shared his thoughts on Dhoni displaying the sticker from his friend’s sports shop.

“I saw him hitting some balls in the nets, MS Dhoni. There’s a new bat sticker on his bat. Just a local sports store of one of his schoolmates. Whack the company name on your bat just to give a boost to sales,” said on commentary.

Leading up to IPL 2024, Dhoni is reverting to his earlier appearance by growing his hair, reminiscent of his early days in international cricket. This edition of IPL is anticipated to be the final one for the ‘Captain Cool,’ who had assured his fans of returning for another season after the IPL 2023 final.
