India and England are facing each other in the last test of the 5- match test series at Edgbaston. The Indian team is currently leading the test series by 2-1.  Rishabh Pant hit a brilliant century on the first day of the Test match to take India to a dominating position against England.

Rishabh Pant played a knock of 146 runs off 111 balls to bail the Indian team out of trouble. At one time , the Indian team was struggling at 98 for 5 with the main batsman back in the pavilion. But Rishabh Pant played a counter attacking knock in this situation and took on the bowlers of England.

Even coach Rahul Dravid was excited and celebrated the century of Pant in style. Dravid rose from his seat in the dressing room and both hands in the air to celebrate the century of Rishabh. Zaheer Khan talked about the emotions of Dravid and said that it’s very rare for Dravid to celebrate in an animated way.

In a cricbuzz show, Zaheer Khan said , “When you see a knock like this, emotions are bound to come out, especially considering the state in which India was at one stage. Those who have played the game, understand the value of the innings even more, and Dravid has had a long career, and he understands it as well. You don’t see Dravid usually reacting like that.”

“They deserve all the praise “- Zaheer Khan in awe of partnership between Pant and Jadeja

Zaheer Khan also praised the partnership of Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja which caught the headlines on the first day. Both of them added 200 plus runs for the 6th Wicket which helped the Indian team score 338 runs on the first day.

Zaheer applauded Pant and Jadeja for forming a partnership at a good run rate. “The pace at which Jadeja and Pant scored deserves all the praise. We got to see something different today, there is no doubt about it. The state at which India were and to recover from that and end at where they are now, it has to be commended.”, Zaheer Khan added.
