Team India skipper Virat Kohli is the arguably the best cricketer of the modern-day cricket. Since making his international debut in 2008 after winning the ICC U19 World Cup, the talismanic run-scorer has never looked back.
He has only grown in stature since then. Kohli is aggressive both on and off the pitch and likes to keep his emotions on his sleeves and never shies away from a confrontation. Virat Kohli is the only batsman of modern-day cricket to average more than 50 in all three formats.

Recently, former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif heaped praise on the Indian cricketer saying that Kohli is one cricketer with whom other’s will not want to mess. Rashid recalled the India- Australia Test series in 2014 where Kohli had a fierce duel with Aussie pacer Mitchell Johnson and went on to play a brilliant knock of 141 runs in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
“In 2014 series, when Dhoni retired after two Tests. Then there was one Test, in which Virat Kolhi scored two tons in each innings. In that match, Mitchell Johnson stepped up to Kohli, and dono ke beech theek thaak gaaliyaa chal ri tha. Watch that clip, and you will see Kohli’s reaction was not defensive,” said Latif in a YouTube video.

“There are some players you don’t mess with. We had Javed (Miandad) bhai, Viv Richards, Sunil Gavaskar. Today, Virat Kohli is one such player,” he added.
Virat Kohli notched up 115 and 141 runs respectively in the first two innings of the first Test in Adelaide, however, India lost the match despite his best efforts. Kohli was sledged continuously by Johnson in the game but he hit back at the left-arm pacer with a classy stroke-filled knock to almost pull off a victory for India.
