Younus Khan Names England Pacer Who Can Be ‘Real Threat’ For Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket team landed in Manchester on (June 28) Sunday to play three Tests and the same number of T20Is. Both teams will stay in bio-secure environments and the matches will have no stadiums in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. As Pakistan look to embark on the journey, batting coach Younus Khan has identified their real threat.

Meanwhile, PCB appointed former Pakistan skipper and one the best batsman to come out of the country Younus Khan as their batting leading to this tour. The Men in Greens also roped in Mushtaq Ahmed as their bowling coach for their series to strengthen their squad.

Jofra Archer is the real threat – Younus Khan

As Pakistan begin their training in the quest for the series, Younus Khan has identified their biggest threat. Naming pacer Jofra Archer, Younus warned his batters saying that the youngster has pose trouble to any batsman across the globe.

“He (Archer) is a real match-winner and a threat. Archer has strong nerves which he proved while bowling a crucial super over in the World Cup final,” AFP quoted Younus as saying.

“He has bite in his bowling and his high arm action is very good and gives him nip in his bowling. There is hype around him so that can be an added pressure on him. I have told the batsmen to play close to the body and play on the back foot because his in-swinger can be very dangerous,” he added.

Meanwhile, so far, the Barbados-born fast bowler Jofra Archer has represented England in seven Test matches. He posed all sorts of trouble during his debut series against Australia. He picked up 22 wickets in four matches and was the second-highest wicket-taker for England behind Stuart Broad.

Pakistan cricketers will stay in quarantine for 14 days before getting tested in Worcester before moving to Derbyshire’s Incora County Ground. The squad consists of 20 players and 11 support staff members.
