Indian skipper Virat Kohli is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. India face Scotland in a crucial game in the ICC T20 World Cup with Kohli’s entire focus is on winning the game at the moment. Former Indian cricketers and his current Indian teammates have wished him on this special occasion. A few foreign cricketers have wished the Indian skipper as well.
Meanwhile, Kohli’s wife Anushka had a special message for the man himself on his birthday. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are married for nearly four years now and have a daughter named Vamika.
Anushka uploaded a picture of herself with Kohli on her official Instagram account.
“No filter needed, for this photo and the way you lead your life. Your core is made of honesty and guts of steel. Courage that pales doubt into oblivion. I know no one who can pick themselves up from a dark place like you can. You grow better in every way because you hold on to nothing in you as permanent and are fearless,” she wrote as a message.
“I know we are not ones to talk to each other through social media like this but sometimes I just want to scream and tell the world what an amazing man you are. Fortunate are those who really truly know you. Thank you for making everything brighter and more beautiful,” she added.
“You Are My Strength”: Virat Kohli Says To Anushka Sharma
Virat Kohli instantly replied to Anushka’s message on Instagram. It was more of a way to say how important a person she has been in his life.
“You are my strength. You are my guiding force. Grateful to god every day for us being together my love. I love you,” he wrote.
Anushka captured Virat’s story in a series of pictures for an advertisement of a mobile phone brand. “People always see the on-ground Virat Kohli. The one I see every day is different. I know the real him. A side that’s only known to me, a new story every day, just for me. He finds the perfect balance of passion and calm. He’s funny, he’s caring, there are so many layers to his passion. Just like his story,” she said in the video.
The powerful couple are currently in the UAE as for the T20 World Cup. India are still alive in the contest and need to win all their remaining games to make it to the semis. They need a little bit of luck from the other teams in the group as well.
