Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan Show Heartwarming Gesture Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The upsurge of the coronavirus pandemic has led to a lockdown in various places across the globe. There has been a shortage of supply of basic safety amenities leaving the citizens more prone to the virus. In a bid to tackle that, former India cricketers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan have come up with a heartwarming gesture.

The pandemic, as declared by the World Health Organisation, has resulted in cancelling of many global events. The streets are put under curfew with offices being shut and people assigned work from home jobs. The number of positive cases in India have seen a stark rise in the last few days. The number of positive cases has almost touched 500 with a death toll of nine so far.

The celebrities and renowned persons have used all social media platforms to raise awareness about COVID-19 asking fellow citizens to stay at home and maintain social distancing. Meanwhile, the Pathan brothers – Irfan and Yusuf came up with a heartwarming gesture for the needy people.

Irfan Pathan and his brother Yusuf Pathan have donated 4,000 masks to the needy amid the rapidly-spreading COVID-19 pandemic. Irfan took to social media platform Twitter to reveal the news and also informed that they bought the masks in the name of the Mehmood Khan Pathan Charitable Trust, which is run by their father. The masks will be distributed to Vadodara health department, who will, in turn, distribute it to the needy.

“Doing our bit for the society. Whatever u guys can do please go ahead and help each other as far as sanitation is concerned. But don’t gather crowd!@iamyusufpathan #corona it’s a small start hopefully we will be keep helping more. Everyone of us,” Irfan Pathan wrote in a tweet.
