Stuart Broad during the third Test against West Indies picked his 500th Test match wicket. He overall became only the 4th fast bowler after Courtney Walsh, Glenn McGrath and James Anderson to achieve the historic milestone.
Broad’s brilliant performances in Test cricket is mostly overshadowed by the six sixes over he bowled during the 2007 T20 world Cup. Yuvraj Singh that day was at his best as he taught a young Broad a strict lesson. During the T20 match at Durban, the fast bowler was hit for six consecutive sixes in one over by Yuvraj.

After Broad picked his 500th wicket and joined an elite list, Yuvraj led the way himself congratulated the England fast bowler.

Talking about the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj in that innings hit the fastest T20I half-century which still stands as a record. Broad since that historic over doesn’t hesitate in making fun of himself on social media when Indian fans remind him of those 6 sixes. However, Yuvraj rightly acknowledged Broad’s incredible achievement and praised him on twitter.
Meanwhile, Broad picked 10 wickets in the third Test and helped his side win the 2-1 against the West Indies. The 34-year-old was upset after being dropped from the first Test side. Broad made an unbelievable comeback in the second Test and picked wickets at crucial intervals. He even struck a brilliant half-century in the deciding Test and was awarded both the Man of the Match and the player of the series award.
