Kings XI Punjab beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs in a close encounter to get up to the fifth position in the points table. Meanwhile, another loss has mounted problems for David Warner’s SRH as they have just three games to go. Yuvraj Singh, who have been backing the Kings since the start of the season, was elated after Punjab pulled an incredible heist against SRH. He took to Twitter to congratulate Priety Zinta’s team and share his opinion of SRH as well. Interestingly, Yuvraj played for both the franchisees in the past. He was even a member of SRH’s title-winning season in 2016.
He took to Twitter and wrote “Well well well ! I told you this team has got some momentum going @lionsdenkxip has snatched that game out of @SunRisershands That’s what happens if you don’t go ahead of the run rate in a low scoring game ! Tables getting interesting #KXIPvSRH #IPL2020”.

Since Punjab beat Mumbai Indians in the double Super Over game, Yuvraj has been very ocal about Punjab’s chances this season. Twice in this season, they have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. First against RCB and then against MI. This win too, was something similar as their bowlers stood up and finished the job. It also solves their death bowling concerns hopefully now that Chris Jordan and Mohammed Shami got together to hand Punjab a win.
“I am just speechless right now to be honest. Very happy with the show from the boys. They went hard in the first six. But I knew we could pull things back if we don’t leak many runs in the powerplay as we have two leggies. We sat down and thought about the things that the bowlers would need in conditions like these and it’s good to see the work paying off” said Punjab skipper KL Rahul after they bagged another close win.
KXIP will now face Kolkata Knight Riders in their next game on Monday before locking horns with Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in their final two games of the season.
