On the 18th year anniversary of 2002 NatWest Trophy final, Yuvraj Singh posted on twitter remembering the memorable day. It was a remarkable win for India under skipper Sourav Ganguly which changed Indian cricket for the good. In that particular tweet, he also tried trolling former England skipper Nasser Hussain.
Nasser scored a gritty 115 in the final and managed to stitch a 185 run partnership with opener Marcus Trescothick. In the end, the massive target of 326 runs wasn’t enough as India chased it down with three balls to spare.

India were initially off to a very good start. Ganguly and Sehwag had stitched a quickfire hundred run partnership. As India were looking good, they lost five wickets in quick succession including the wickets of Nayan Mongia, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. It almost looked as India have stumbled under pressure and were most likely to lose the match.
That is when Mohammed Kaif and Yuvraj Singh walked out. The duo put up a grand partnership of 121 runs which was enough to seal India through to victory. The winning scene later went on to become very iconic as Sourav Ganguly went on to remove his shirt after India won the game.
Recalling that memorable, Yuvraj Singh posted a tweet on the micro-blogging site. He also tried to pull the legs of Nasser Hussain; the then English captain.
“#Throwback to Natwest 2002 Final. Jaan laga di thi sab ne mil ke! We were young and we wanted to win. It was a wonderful team effort that helped us beat England and clinch the trophy in this nail-biting game. @nassercricket just in case you forgot”.

To which Nasser replied by saying, “Some lovely photos mate .. thanks for sharing”

It was said that India had got gems in the form of Kaif and Yuvraj for their batting and fielding skills. As of today, Yuvraj plays in overseas T20 leagues whereas Kaif is attached with the Delhi Capitals franchise.
