The league stage of IPL 2020 has one more decisive match to go between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in Sharjah on November 3, Tuesday.
Three teams have already qualified for the playoffs. MI, DC and RCB have qualified for and one among SRH or KKR will go through as the fourth team. MI will face DC in Qualifier 1 in Dubai on Thursday (November 5).
RCB will have to wait to know their opponents for the Eliminator on November 6, Friday. Before that, we will look at the Top 5 Flops of The Season in this article.

5. MS Dhoni
It was a forgetful year for CSK and for MS Dhoni. This is the first time CSK has failed to make it to the playoffs of the IPL. The lack of runs from MS Dhoni’s bat was one of the big reasons why the Men in Yellow failed to make the cut. The team struggled with finding the right team combination and MS Dhoni’s poor run with the willow added to the miseries.
He played all the games after there were reports of him sitting out in the final few matches. Also, Dhoni failed to score even one fifty-plus score in this season, which speaks volumes about how much difficult it was for him to score runs.

4. Andre Russell
The big West Indian Andre Russell scored half the runs for KKR with the bat last season. This year, he was not even close to scoring even half of them. The conditions in the UAE did not suit his style of play. His weakness against bouncers and wide yorkers were exploited expertly by the opposition bowlers, limiting his strokeplay.
A severe knee injury played a part in hampering his campaign as well. He missed four crucial games for KKR. With the ball too, he was not as effective as he was earlier. He even leaked 18 runs in the final over in the second leg against SRH. All in all, this was a season Dre Russ would ideally like to forget soon.

3. Dinesh Karthik
The former KKR skipper had one of his worst IPL seasons this year. A lot was expected of him and his team, but he was a big disappointment. His batting position was a constant subject of debate throughout the league stage. From number three to seven, Karthik batted in every position but failed to prosper.
His best score in this tournament came as a finisher, which was his role at the start of the season. However, captaincy responsibilities took its toll on DK and he decided to step down midway. He handed over the captaincy to concentrate on his batting, but that did not change anything. His failure with the bat continued as KKR ended the league stage on a winning note.

2. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell was roped in for 10.5 crores by KXIP ahead of the season. However, it turned out to be a waste of an investment as he flopped big time for the team. He played some rash and wreckless shots to get himself dismissed in every game.
He did not give himself time to settle down coming into bat for his team. With the ball too, he was not consistent. In other words, Maxwell’s return to KXIP was not even close to what he would have anticipated. They finished sixth in the campaign by losing eight of their 14 matches.

1. Rishabh Pant
Though DC qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs, this was not a season to remember for Rishabh Pant. He did not look at his best with the bat, batting at his preferred position of number 4/5. He failed to give momentum to his team with the bat as well.
His dismissals were the same as usual. The injury he suffered against RR, did not help his cause as well as he missed three matches for his team.
