5 players who disappointed in this years IPL : The IPL 2017 has been a roller coaster ride. While there were some astonishing performances which won matches, some of the best performances came only in “Jio Dhan dhana dhan” advertisement.
Here is a look at 5 players who turned out to be disappointments :-
1. Corey Anderson
The New Zealand all rounder was picked up by Delhi in tenth edition of IPL. His role in the side was to come in at No.5 and 6 and launch an assault in death overs and also to chip in with 2-3 cheap overs. He failed to live up to his expectations to a great extent. He could only manage 142 runs in 11 matches at a dismal strike rate of just 115. His performances with the ball were not noteworthy as well, just 3 scalps in the entire tournament.

2. Ravindra Jadeja
After a great test season at home, Jadeja sustained an injury which kept him out of first few games. However on his return he looked rusty and could not deliver what his side expected of him. Even though he could play the role of lower order hitter well, his main role was with the ball which turned out to be a fizzle. In 12 matches he picked just 5 wickets. He is known to keep things tight in middle overs, he failed to do that as his economy rate was 9.18.

3. Ishant Sharma
The tall fast bowler unsold at the auction earlier, grabbed eyes of Sehwag and Co. and was drafted in KXIP side as replacement for injured Murali Vijay. He was expected to spearhead a relatively inexperienced bowling attack. He turned out to be a big disappointment for KXIP as he went wicketless throughout the season. Moreover he also failed to survive the onslaught and conceded runs and almost 10 per over.

4. Ashoke Dinda
The Bengal pacer was given the role of bowling in death in a relatively inexperienced Pune bowling attack. He had a tough time as he conceded 30 runs in last over vs Mumbai Indians and went through the season with just 1 wicket. After 3 matches he lost his place in the side. This raises serious doubts whether he will be picked by any team in next auction.

5. Shane Watson
The former Australian all rounder was handed over captaincy reins of RCB in absence of Virat Kohli. Being one of the Fab 4 in RCB side a lot was expected of him with both bat and ball. However everything went downhill for him with both bat and ball and he turned out to be a big blooper for RCB, one reason why they couldn”t qualify for playoffs. In 8 matches he managed only 71 runs at a sorry average of 11. He had only one or two good days with the ball entire season and he managed just 5 wickets. This was by far his worst ever IPL season.
