6 Batsmen to have hit 6 sixes in an over: With the introduction of shorter format of cricket, big hittings and innovative shots have been the feature of cricket. The rules in modern era favour more the batsmen than bowlers. Often some devastating batsmen try to go for maximum almost in every ball when they are going through a phase of decent touch. With it they have introduced higher level of innovation in the game. But hitting 6 sixes in an over is like once in a blue moon. Only few players have succeeded in achieving this unbelievable feat. Here goes the list of 6 batsmen who have hit all 6 out of 6 in an over in recognized cricket out of the park.

6. Sir Gary Sobers

‘Sir’ Gary Sobers achieved this historic feat for the first time in cricket. The cricketer who has been referred as all-time great by Donald Bradman and no wonder he is being called as ‘Sir’. He hit 6 out of 6 against Malcolm Nash while playing for Nottinghamshire. It was on 31st August, 1968 when he used to be the captain for his side.

It was not too long ago when this opening batsman from England has hit 6 sixes in an over in their domestic T20 league. Hales playing for Nottinghamshire in the Natwest T20 Blast against Warwickshire smashed all the way in the 11th over. The man on the other side was Boyd Rankin.4. Ravi Shastri

Famously known worldwide as a commentator and the present Director of Indian Cricket team, Ravi Shastri was an all-rounder and skipper then. He achieved the historic moment in the year 1984 after he smashed left-arm spinner Tilak Raj for 6 sixes consecutively in a Ranji-Trophy match. He then went on to score fastest ever double-hundred in the same match.

3. Herschelle Gibbs

It was the moment of ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, when this veteran batsman from South Africa achieved the awesome feat at the St.Kitts against the Netherlands. The poor bowler was Daan van Bunge. This was the unique moment in ODI cricket.

2. Jordan Clarke

Lancashire allrounder Jordan Clark has achieved the feat in a second XI match against Yorkshire in 2013. All of Jordan”s sixes were slog-sweeps over the midwicket boundary against left-arm spinner Gurman Randhawa.

1. Yuvraj Singh

The latest one to achieve this feat was this challenging man from India who is known as the ‘King of Sixes’. It was the ICC World T20 2007 moment when Yuvraj Singh hit the clueless Stuart Broad all over the park for 6 consecutive biggies. It was known that the brutal hittings were out of anger after Andrew Flintoff exchanged a few words with him. Nevertheless the shots were treat to watch!
