CricFit has been home to many aspiring young cricketers over the years. Our students have made us proud on numerous occasions. To acknowledge the relentless hard work of our students, CricFit brings to you a series of Academy Tales, where we share with you the journey of our little ones.
Today”s man of the moment is Devansh Ganatra. For the last three years, Devansh has been a part of CricFit. He has shone on a number of occasions for the team. But if I were to single out, I”d say his performance against the NNCA Heroes.
It was a 45 over game at Cross Maidan, Churchgate. NNCA won the toss and chose to bat. CricFit academy was stupendous with the ball. The bowled out the opposition for a mere 173 in 25.4 overs.
Star with the ball, Devansh Ganatra stole the limelight with his 6-fer. His 6/49 set the platform for the batsmen to capitalise.
In the second innings, CricFit were reeling at 65/2 when Devansh came in to bat. Holding up one end, he stitched important partnerships with fellow batsmen and finished the job for his team.
CricFit won the game convincingly with 6 wickets. Devansh Ganatra was again the star with the bat. 54(44) which included 5×4 and 3×6.
Post match he said his coaches have a role in shaping him today.
“Since I (Devansh) was a healthy child, it took me months to get fit and learn more.”
He credits his coach Santosh sir, Dinesh Sir and mentor Mikkhail sir for grooming his all-round cricket skills.
“Mikkhail sir has played a major role in my personal journey. He has been a father figure for all his students and warmly welcomes his new students”.
He idolizes the Indian Test Deputy Skipper, Ajinkya Rahane.
