Suryakumar Yadav’s Tattoos And Their Meanings

Suryakumar Yadav is also known as ‘SKY’ is a rising star of the Indian team. The Mumbai Indians star batsman has continuously impressed everybody with his performance. Suryakumar made his international debut against England in the T20I series in March 2021. Also, he hit a six in his first international ball and scored a half-century.

The right-handed batsman as of now has played 3 T20 Internationals. Recently he got selected for the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka.

Suryakumar Yadav has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and Indian Premier League. Due to his brilliant consistency, he has been received an international call-up by the Indian team. Yadav is popular for his aggressive game, but he is also known for his love for tattoos.

The 30-year-old batsman has ten plus tattoos on his body. Surya appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show, And he mentioned that he greatly enjoyed getting a tattoo for the first time. Due to a great first-time experience, he decided to add more tattoos to his collection. Here’s a look at his tattoos.

Suryakumar Yadav’s tattoo for parents

Mumbaikar Suryakumar Yadav absolutely loves his parents. Before IPL 2014, he got inked the names of parents (Ashok and Sapna) in an ambigram form. The ambigram tattoo from one side reads Sapna and the other side reads Ashok.

“When I got selected for KKR, I put their names in ambigram form. So, from one side it reads Ashok but it reads Sapna from the other,” Suryakumar Yadav had said.

When the 2014 season started, Suryakumar decided that if his team; Kolkata Knight Riders became IPL champions, he would get a tattoo of his parents’ face on his arm.

“The same day I got the tattoo, I had made up my mind to ink my parents’ faces on my arm if we win the tournament,” he added.

Kolkata Knight Riders won IPL 2014 by defeating Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in brilliant finals. Just after that victory, Suryakumar Yadav got inked his upper arms with his parents’ portrait.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar also has a tribal tattoo on his chest, left arm, and upper back. Also, Surya has two motivational quotes tattooed on his body. The first quote is “Life is what you make it,” which is on his left forearm. The second quote is “Take one step at a time” on his left foot. 

Suryakumar Yadav’s Tattoo connection with NZ

Suryakumar Yadav became a member of team India recently. But he has already been part of International tours. When he visited New Zealand he came to know about Maori Face Tattoo.

The Maori Face Tattoo is all over his left upper body. However, he learned the meaning, family culture, and heritage before getting it tattoed.

Just under the Maori Face Tattoo, he got inked the name of his wife ‘Devisha.’ During his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Suryakumar stated that he had got his life partner’s tattoo which is very close to his heart.

“And here comes another Ink on my body. Right below the Maori Face. Thank you for coming in my life and making it more beautiful. #WIFE #lifePARTNER Devisha. What do you have to say about that MRs YADAV,” Suryakumar Yadav wrote on Instagram after getting his wife’s name inked.

Apart from all these primary tattoos, Suryakumar Yadav has got some secondary tattoos that show ‘old-school’ elements. Surya has a rose tattoo on his right hand which signifies true love, and a diamond tattoo on his right arm which signifies wealth and success.

On the same arm, he has another tattoo known as the Nautical Star tattoo, which symbolizes direction. Suryakumar also has a ‘Faith’ tattoo on the back of his left shoulder.

On the same hand, he has one more tattoo which is called the Nautical Star tattoo, it signifies direction. The 30-year-old also has a Faith tattoo on the back of his left shoulder.

The new batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav is currently in Sri Lanka for the upcoming limited-overs series. If he performs well in this tour there is no doubt he can get a slot in T20 World Cup. He just needs to perform well in the Sri Lanka series and then the second half of IPL.

He can become a great No.4 batsman, for India in limited-overs cricket. If he contributes to India’s T20 World Cup victory we might see a new Tattoo that will represent T20 World Cup Trophy.
