An Ex-Pakistani Player Makes A Scathing Attack On Rahul Dravid As Coach

After India’s performance against Australia in the WTC Final, the former Pakistani batter took aim at Rahul Dravid and the Indian team.

In the World Test Championship championship match, India’s hold is eroding.

With six wickets in hand and two full days remaining, Team India will already have to pull off one of The Oval’s most impressive chases.

Australia has already managed to build a lead of 296 runs. Many things went wrong for India, starting with the choice to omit Ravichandran Ashwin.

After giving up a first-innings total of 469, it was pretty much game over once their top-order was destroyed at 71/4.

Nothing should be taken away from the incredible comeback that Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur demonstrated.

But despite the twin half-centuries, India was still forced to play catch-up.

There is still some hope. But it will be difficult to chase anything over 300 in a fourth Test innings against Australia’s bowling.

Basit Ali has criticized Rahul Dravid’s performance as a coach

He claimed that the match was predetermined at the toss when captain Rohit Sharma chose to bowl in the cloudy conditions.

India had their foot in the door by keeping Australia to 76/3. But counterattacking centuries from Travis Head and Steve Smith slammed the door shut.

Basit believes that India can only save the WTC final through a miracle. Basit played 50 ODIs and 19 Tests for Pakistan.

India lost the game the second they decided to bowl. As they preoccupied with the first two hours. And the bowling style on display was identical to IPL.

After lunch, the Indian bowlers seemed so ecstatic that they must have won the game.

Rahane, Kohli, and Jadeja were the only players I could see being in shape for the 120 overs that India fielded.

“The other players appeared exhausted”, the former batter wrote on his YouTube channel. “Dravid is a total failure as a coach.”

Ali targeted coach Rahul Dravid with some shocking statements, as if criticizing the players wasn’t harsh enough.

“Despite being a huge fan of the former India captain, he was unimpressed with Dravid’s coaching, Regardless of everything he had accomplished while coaching India and the senior men’s team.”

“I have always been and will continue to be a huge Rahul Dravid fan. He is a legend and a top-notch player. But he is utterly ineffective as a coach”, said Ali.
