Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a huge margin of 54 runs in an one-sided encounter at MCA Stadium, Pune in the ongoing season of IPL. Hyderabad failed to chase the target of 178 runs set by KKR. With this comprehensive win, KKR has kept their hopes alive for the playoffs.

When you let go Rashid Khan for a man who is out of form in batting, doesn't bowl and hands over 20th over to a spinner against Russell pic.twitter.com/YinNm8rwA5

Two back to back wins with 50+ runs margin 🥵
That 75 run loss against LSG had completely ruined KKR's NRR but thankfully it's recovered

Kane Williamson is having a terrible time. SR of 92 as opener in T20 is not permissible.
On the other hand KKR is totally dependent upon Andre Russell, from bowling to batting.A champion player and A champion franchise, hope they do a comeback. #KKRvSRH

Andre Russell finishes in style to take KKR to 177 runs
Earlier in the match, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first. KKR managed to score just 20 runs in the first 4 overs. Ajinkya Rahane and Nitish Rana put the foot on the accelerator. They both added 48 runs in the next 5.3 overs. Umran Malik pulled back things after dismissing both Rahane and Rana.
KKR was struggling at 94/5 in 11.3 overs. They needed a great finish to take them above a par total. Caribbean all rounder Andre Russell played an important knock of 49 runs in 28 balls to help KKR post a total of 177 runs. Russell smashed four huge sixes in his innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical bowler for SRH.
