As reported by ANI, Rehnuma Bhati has filed a complaint at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station of rape and molestation against her husband, Riyaz Bhati. Riyaz is allegedly an aide of Dawood Ibrahim. The complaint also includes the names of Rajeev Shukla, Munaf Patel, and Hardik Pandya. Rehnuma claimed that her husband, Riyaz forced her to have physical relations with a man in 2011-2012, a cricketer in 2014-15, and another sportsperson and two of his friends.

“I have been trying to get the police to register an FIR, but they aren’t complying. My application was submitted in September, it is already November now,” she said. “I have followed up with various levels of police authorities multiple times. Was told to give some money, but why should I spread corruption? I am right in my place. They are the ones who are criminals,” said Rehnuma Bhati as reported by The Print.

No FIR has been filed yet by Police yet, as they are verifying the details. Meanwhile,  Riyaz is on the run from the police, and the three accused, Hardik Pandya, Munaf Patel, and Rajeev Shukla are yet to respond to the allegations.

The Print also reached out to the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the jurisdiction, Manjunath Singhe, who acknowledged that an application has been submitted by Rehnuma Bhati. He denied comment on it further, saying he “does not have any more details at the moment”.

Social Media users, demanded the arrest of accused Rajeev Shukla and others.
