Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya was part of the recent India tour Sri Lanka limited-overs series. Notably, the series contained 6 games including 3 ODIs and as many as T20Is. During the tour unfortunately Krunal Pandya was tested positive for Covid-19.
According to reports by PTI, A Indian medical officer has come under the scanner for causing a delay in Krunal Pandya’s Covid-19 Test even though he was showing signs and symptoms of COVID. As per reports suggest Medial officer Abhijit Salvi didn’t isolate Pandya even after he suffering from throat pain on July 26 and was allowed to participate in a meeting.

Also, the BCCI source told PTI that Krunal immediately informed MO about his situation. However, no action was taken and no Rapid Antigen Test even via a self-test kit was done. The source told that although the self-test kit is not accurate MO should have followed mandatory protocols. Meanwhile, there have been questions raised against Sri Lanka’s custom of getting tested every 5 days. Also, it was revealed that with the timely intervention of BCCI secretary Jay Shah the 6-match white ball series didn’t get canceled.
