The England Test captain Joe Root became a father for the first time in 2017. At the time Root hadn’t tied the knot but got engaged with his girlfriend in March 2016. Carrie Cottrell and Joe Root were blessed with their first child a baby boy on January 7, 2017. The couple named their son Alfred William Root who is now often spotted during matches of the England cricket team.
Root and Carrie decided to get hitched on 1 December 2018. Earlier this year the couple became parents for the second time with the arrival of their second boy. In July 2020, Root had skipped the first Test match against West Indies in order to be with his wife. Root via social media updated all his fans with a picture of his newborn.

4. Vinod Kambli
Former India batsman Vinod Kambli was recognised as one of the most gifted batsmen to ever grace the game. Unfortunately, Kambli couldn’t fulfil his potential and had a relatively small career with the Indian team. At first, Kambli got coupled to his girlfriend Noella Lewis but unfortunately, it ended up in a divorce. Then Kambli was in a relationship with fashion model Andrea Hewitt.
The couple before their wedding became parents and named their son Jesus Christiano Kambli. The former India cricketer converted to Christianity in 2010 when his son was born and then 4 years later he got married to his partner Andrea Hewitt.

The former great West Indies batsman Sir Vivian Richards fell for Bollywood actress Neena Gupta during his career. The two dated each other for a brief time and became parents of their daughter Masaba Gupta but never married each other.
Their daughter is now a well renowned India designer and a popular face on social media. Later Neena got married to a Delhi based chartered accountant but is still in touch with Vivian Richards.
