The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle is perhaps one of the most dreaded batsmen in the world. When on song, Gayle can take on even the best of bowling attacks in the world. He continues to scale new peaks in T20 cricket.

The dynamic batsman became the first player to reach the 14000 runs landmark in T20 cricket on Tuesday.

In the third T20I against Australia, Chris Gayle made a mockery of the Aussie’s bowlers as he hit 67 runs off 38 balls. The knock included four boundaries and seven sixes. The left-hander reached his fifty in fashion with a hat-trick of sixes against Adam Zampa. West Indies chased down a modest 142 in just 14.5 overs.

We don’t judge Chris Gayle by his performance: Dwyane Bravo

Leading into the game, Dwayne Bravo backed his teammate Chris Gayle, who had a string of low scores. Bravo said we don’t “judge” Gayle on his performance as his presence is alone a “fear factor” for oppositions.

“We don’t judge him by his performances now, Chris’ presence alone sends a fear factor to the opposition and brings a certain level of calmness to our dressing room. There’s a lot of outside pressure because of the age factor but there’s no pressure in the dressing room. We appreciate what’s done for West Indies cricket, he’s a legend, and this last few months with him let’s enjoy it and push him through this last phase of his career.”

“He’s trying his best to be conservative, not playing his flamboyance game, but we aren’t worried about his scores,” Bravo added.

West Indies won the third T20I and are leading 3-0 with the series in the pocket.
