The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians, kick-started their Indian Premier League 2021 on April 9 with a spectacular match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mumbai will play five of their 14 league matches at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Mumbai Indians players are residing in an expensive resort in Chennai with a private beach. Some of Mumbai’s players were seen enjoying surfing during their leisure.
Mumbai’s right-hander Australian batter Chris Lynn was seen bonding with Kiwi pacer Trent Boult as the duo surfed together. Their fun time in the luxurious bio-bubble made the former Australian allrounder envy them. The South African legend, now coaching the Punjab Kings, commented on Chris Lynn’s post saying: “@lynny50 very jealous of your bubble!!!”
On April 16, Lynn posted some pictures on his Twitter and Instagram where he can be seen with Trent Boult as the duo enjoyed their surfing session. Lynn put a caption: “Winning the morning over here in Chennai #IPL @mipaltan”

Replying to Rhodes’ comment, Lynn stated that they were just blessed with some quality waves. “Blessed with some quality waves, great man,” Lynn said. The Amazed 51-year-old Rhodes questioned Lynn about the beach and the incredible surfing community. “Which beach, and who supplied the boards? Such an incredible surfing community along that stretch of the coast,” Rhodes asked.

Chris Lynn awaits another chance in IPL 2021
Mumbai Indians had Lynn’s service in their first game, where the Aussie racked up 49 runs off 35 deliveries. In 2020, Chris Lynn had to warm the bench as Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock were their first-choice openers. Lynn finally got the room to prove his mettle in the first match as de Kock was finishing his quarantine. Lynn played his first match for the title defenders against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Albeit, MI started on a losing note.
Despite the sheer brilliance in the first game, the opener was replaced by de Kock in the second game against Kolkata Knight Riders. As de Kock was away from reclaiming the amazement that he showed last time, Chris Lynn might see some rays of hope of coming back in the playing XI.
