“Comeback Ka Iraada Hai Kya?” Irfan Pathan Poses Funny Question To Gautam Gambhir

After another entertaining season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the focus shift towards ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – which is also being played in the UAE and Oman. The experts have already begun predicting India’s starting XI against arch-rivals Pakistan as Virat Kohli & Co. will resume their rivalry against the Men in Green at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 24 (Sunday).

In a discussion on Star Sports, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Dinesh Karthik and Irfan Pathan – who were a part of the MS Dhoni-led side which won the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007, recalled how the players have changed since then.

Pathan pulled Gambhir’s leg by asking him if he was planning a comeback as he was much fitter than he was as a player.

“Gambhir looks the most changed. Is the frame small or have you shrunk? I had met him a few days before and he is much fitter now. He is fitter than what we saw of him in 2007 when we played together. What are you doing? Comeback ka iraada hai kya? Are you eyeing a comeback?” Pathan asked Gambhir

“No, not at all. Comeback plans are for these two (Harbhajan Singh and Dinesh Karthik),” Gambhir responded.

There cannot be a dull moment when Bhajji pa is around – Gautam Gambhir

After Gambhir’s answer, Karthik asked Harbhajan if he was planning a comeback to which the latter said, “Yes, it’s my comeback to Star Sports today.” Gautam Gambhir praised Harbhajan and called him the best partner in the dressing room.

“There cannot be a dull moment if Bhajji Pa is around. I have spent some of my best moments with him. There can’t be a better partner in the dressing room than Harbhajan Singh. As he pointed out, DK has reached the next level with his dressing sense and the other 14 players cannot match him together,” Gambhir added.
