Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra previewed the second Test at Lord’s on his Youtube channel. The first Test ended in a draw after rain played a spoilsport on the fifth and final day denying India a chance to take the lead in the series. Both teams will thus start afresh and look to win the second Test and take a lead in the series.
Aakash Chopra particularly focused on the seam attacks of the two sides and pinpointed two names he is looking to watch out for. For England, he said Ollie Robinson will be the player to watch out for. He picked up his maiden Test fifer in the first Test at Trent Bridge.
“If England were to bowl, I am picking Ollie Robinson. The slope will help this player a lot because you will not know which ball to leave and which ball to play. He was the standout bowler of the last encounter. The height from which he bowls, his debut was also at Lord’s, if I remember correctly. You are already worried about the bounce and now you will have problems with the line as well” Chopra said on Robinson.
From the Indian playing XI, Aakash Chopra picked Jasprit Bumrah as the player to watch out for. He picked nine wickets in the first Test and prevented the opposition from posting big totals.
“From India, I am picking Boom Boom. The Lord’s pitch is slightly tilted, so there is sideways movement with and against the slope. It is very normal for the ball to go in the reverse direction of what you intend to do. Boom boom – as the heat is increasing, he is getting super fit.”

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin is likely to replace Shardul after the all-rounder was ruled out of the second Test with an injury. Chopra has also thrown his weight behind Ashwin’s addition and suggested that India should go with three pacers and two spinners.
The batsmen from both sides will also look to build on a good start as toss is expected to play a crucial role as well.
