Former England skipper Nasser Hussain has always been fascinated by Virat Kohli. his captaincy, his attitude, his aggressive and competitive nature all seems to have impressed the former England skipper. Despite having all the clas, Kohli has not been at his best yet in this series against England so far. He is yet to score a fifty in the series after getting out to a first-ball duck at Trent Bridge.
In his recent column for Daily Mail, Nasser Hussain spoke about how Virat Kohli represents modern India, one which never wants to give up and wants to play to the best of its potential.
“What Kohli in particular represents is modern-day India, the one that won’t be pushed around. Even though umpires might like to remind him occasionally that he doesn’t run the game. Ravi Shastri, as coach, will just let Kohli go. He won’t mind seeing him exchanging words with Anderson or signalling from the balcony to try to get the players off for bad light. It is the captain who is very much in charge.”
Virat Kohli-Indian Captain With Most Test Wins
Kohli has 37 victories to his name as captain in Test matches. He has 10 more than the next best of MS Dhoni’s 27. In his column further Hussain has narrated an incident when former India coach Duncan Fletcher praised the Indian skipper. Under Fletcher, India won the ICC Champions Trophy back in 2013.

I remember speaking to Duncan Fletcher about Kohli when he was India coach and he just told me he was a winner. At almost any cost, too” wrote Hussain.
Kohli rates him very highly.
"He (Fletcher) would stand in front of me when I was batting in the nets and tell me, ‘Open your shoulder two inches.' Then I would do that and my game would open up and I would be like, ‘What was that?' It was that small" – Kohli.

“He (Fletcher) would stand in front of me when I was batting in the nets and tell me, ‘Open your shoulder two inches.’ Then I would do that and my game would open up and I would be like, ‘What was that?’ It was that small” – Kohli said.
