The much-anticipated England vs India test series is all set to go underway on August 4 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The series will be a huge challenge for the Indian team, as they have lost the last three Test series in England. However, the England team too will be under pressure, having lost the last test series against New Zealand at home.

286 runs – The England skipper, Joe Root is 286 runs away from the milestone of 9000 Test runs.

22 runs – Joe Root has scored 15716 runs across all formats for England. He is 22 runs behind England’s highest-run getter Alastair Cook.

1 – Joe Root will become the most successful Test captain for England if the hosts win at least one match in the series. He will surpass Michael Vaughan’s record of 26 wins.

Ajinkya Rahane

16 runs – India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has scored 7984 International runs. He is 16 runs behind the milestone of 8000 runs in International cricket.

353 runs – Ajinkya Rahane is 353 runs away from the 5000 runs marks in test cricket.

4 catches – Ajinkya Rahane has 96 catches to his name in Test cricket. He needs 4 more to reach a Hundred.

Rohit Sharma

321 runs – India’s opening batsman Rohit Sharma has scored 2679 runs in Tests. He is 321 away from the 3000 runs milestone.

252 runs – Rohit Sharma is 252 runs away from completing 15000 runs in international cricket.

Moeen Ali

3 wickets – Moeen Ali has picked up 297 wickets across formats and needs another 3 wickets to reach the 300-mark.

11 wickets – Moeen Ali is 11 wickets away from 200 Test wickets.
Jasprit Bumrah
17 wickets – Jasprit Bumrah has taken 83 Test wickets and needs 17 more to complete the 100 wickets milestone. If he achieves the 100-wicket mark during the England series, Bumrah will become the fastest Indian pacer to reach the milestone.

R Ashwin

12 wickets – Ravichandran Ashwin has picked up 88 wickets against England. He needs 12 more to become the first Indian with 100 wickets against England.
5 wickets – Ravichandran Ashwin needs 5 wickets to become the third-highest Test wicket-taker for India, surpassing Harbhajan Singh (417).

Ravindra Jadeja

15 runs – Ravindra Jadeja has scored 1985 runs in Test cricket, he is 15 away from the 2000 test runs mark.
2 wickets – Ravindra Jadeja needs to pick 2 wickets to get to the 450 wickets milestone.

James Anderson

3 wickets – James Anderson has picked up 617 wickets in his Test career. H needs 3 more wickets to become the third-highest Test wicket-taker after Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and Shane Warne (708).
