ENG vs IND 2021: Watch – Jos Buttler’s Misjudgement Cost Him His Wicket

The aggressive English batsman Jos Buttler didn’t have a good outing in the first Test against India at Trent Bridge Nottingham. In the first innings, the wicketkeeper-batsman looked in poor form and got out on duck. Meanwhile, in the second innings, he was dismissed by the brilliant delivery of Shardul Thakur.

In the first innings, Buttler managed to hold on in the crease defending 17 deliveries and eventually losing a wicket on the 18th ball of his innings. Jasprit Bumrah was the one who was responsible for sending Buttler back to the pavilion at the score of 0.

Meanwhile, in the second innings, he managed to score 17 runs off 22 deliveries before giving his wicket away to Shardul Thakur. Jos Buttler made a horrible misjudgment due to which he got clean bowled. The ball pitched outside off and kept coming towards the Buttler, however, he thought the ball has enough bounce and he shouldered arms. Notably, the ball went straight towards the top of the off-stump and he got dismissed. The horrible mistake by Buttler led England to lose their 6th wicket.

 

England skipper Joe Root leads the charge in the second essay

Team England won the toss and decided to bat first. However while batting first England batting unit only managed to put 183 runs on the board. Indian bowling unit did a great job by stopping the English batters at a decent score. Jasprit Bumrah bagged a 4-wicket haul and Mohammed Shami got a 3-wicket haul in the name.

Meanwhile, The main man of India was KL Rahul while batting in the first innings. Rahul managed to score a brilliant 84 runs also all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja completed his half-century. Meanwhile, Ollie Robinson was able to pick a 5-wicket haul and Star pacer Anderson picked a 4-wicket haul. They managed to stop India at the score of 278.

While batting in the second innings England’s top order once again didn’t deliver performance up to the mark. However skipper Joe Root led from the front and scored a sensational century against India.
