England all-rounder and Test debutant Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of the remaining part of the test series versus Pakistan due to a knee injury. He suffered this during the first Test match in Rawalpindi.
Former England captain Nasser Hussain confirmed this unfortunate news as Livingstone jarred his right knee while on the second day of the test match. He was seen leaving the field immediately after being advised by the management.
Liam Livingstone will be flying back to the UK on December 6 so that the medical team can assess the extent of the injury he has suffered along with the process of treatment for the same. The team is yet to announce a replacement for him.

He was added to the team’s squad due to his spin abilities with the bowl and his ball striking. England will be looking for a like-to-like replacement for him.
England set a target of 343 in the fourth innings
Pakistan is in pursuit of a target of 343 runs in order to win the first test match of the series. The pitch in this match has been favourable to batters as the visitors England scored 657 runs in the first innings at a staggering run rate above a run a ball. Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook all brought up centuries. \
Pakistan, in reply, scored 579 courtesies of centuries scored by Abdullah Shafique, Imam Ul Haq and Captain Babar Azam. England set a target of 342 runs for the hosts to chase.
Both teams are aiming to get a result out of this game. England requires 6 wickets whereas Pakistan needs another 143 runs to produce a result on the last day. The second test will be played in Multan on December 9.
