MS Dhoni is one of the coolest finishers in the history of cricket, famous for taking the game deep and finishing it in style. Former CSK skipper has finished several games for the Indian cricket team and CSK franchise over the past years. And this year, it’s no different. We are witnessing vintage Dhoni in IPL 2022.

CSK needed 16 runs in 4 balls of the last over to win the game against Mumbai Indians with Jaydev Unadkat bowling the last over. This is a tremendous task for the batting team. However, Dhoni kept his calm and smashed Jaydev Unadkat for 6,4,2 and 4 and finished the match for CSK.

Dhoni was showered with a lot of praise across the globe for his masterclass finish. The chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra also couldn’t stop admiring Dhoni and penned an appreciation tweet for Dhoni on social media. Anand Mahindra was very delighted with the fact that they have ‘ MAHI’ in the name of Mahi-ndra.

“Well, all I can say is that I’m glad we have the letters MAHI in Mahi-ndra! #MSDhoni Awesome finish,” Anand Mahindra tweeted.

Dhoni this year has been in brilliant form. He scored a vital 50-run knock against KKR and 16*(8) against LSG in IPL 2022. Dhoni showed glimpses of his finishing skills against Mumbai Indians on Thursday at DY Patil Stadium where Dhoni played a vital knock of 28 runs in 13 balls after coming to bat in the 16th over when CSK needed 48 runs in the last 4 overs.

Earlier in the game, CSK captain Jadeja won the toss and decided to field first against MI. Mukesh Choudhary grabbed the wickets of Ishan and Rohit in the first over itself. MI reached a total of 155 runs with the efforts of Tilak and Suryakumar Yadav.

In reply, CSK too had a shaky start and it took brilliant finishing from Pretorius and Dhoni to win the match for CSK.
