Kolkata Knight Riders is the 3rd most successful franchise in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL). They have clinched two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. Shahrukh Khan was present in both the finals which KKR won.

In an interview with KKR , Shahrukh told how he likes to support the Kolkata franchise. Shahrukh Khan said, “I had this belief that I am thinking my team into victory. And both times it has happened, that it goes numb.”

In both the finals, Kolkata Knight Riders successfully chased down a massive target of 190 plus. It’s never easy to chase big targets in an IPL final. But KKR has done it twice. KKR under leadership of Gautam Gambhir was a different level team.  KKR was at its peak in terms of brand value  during captaincy tenure of Gambhir.

“Manish Pandey took team out of the trouble” : Umesh Yadav applauds Manish for great knock in IPL 2014 Final

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Umesh Yadav too described how it felt like after winning IPL for KKR. Umesh also said that Kolkata never lost hope in the final despite chasing target of 190 plus runs.

Umesh also hailed Manish Pandey for his brilliant knock on the final under a lot of pressure. The veteran pacer in an interview with KKR website said, “In the final, Punjab scored a massive total of 200. Wriddhiman Saha played a brilliant knock. We knew we could chase it down because the pitch was flat and slow. But even we lost wickets at the top. Manish Pandey batted really well, playing a knock of 94 and took the team out of trouble.”
