Former England Test all-rounder Moeen Ali has expressed his desire to make comeback in Test cricket for England. Moeen Ali announced his retirement from Test cricket last year on 14th October. The 34-year all-rounder wanted to focus on white-ball cricket.

However while talking to BBC Sports, Moeen Ali expressed his desire to play in the Pakistan tour for the England Cricket team. He believes if coach Brendon McCullum wants him, he is ready to represent England in Test cricket once again. Moeen said, “When, or if, (England head coach) Baz McCullum wants me, I’ll definitely play in Pakistan.”

“I have played Pakistan Super League out there a few years ago but it’s not the same, to travel with an England side there having family background from that part of the world will be amazing,” Moeen Ali added. Ali also has his family roots in Pakistan.

Earlier there were some reports surfacing on the internet that said that McCullum wants to call back Moeen Ali in the Test squad for the Pakistan tour. Responding to it, he said, “I find it very hard to say no to him. He scares me a little bit. We’re going to have a chat and see how it pans out. At the time I said I was retired I felt like I was done. I felt really tired with cricket.”
